About Scenario Lab
From 1992 to 1997, Scenario Lab founder DJ Yu established a concept-design team in the Industrial Technology Research Institute (Hsinchu, Taiwan) and orchestrated the concept development of HDTV, PDA, digital camera, and other future high tech products. Together with Grace Lin and others, DJ Yu spearheaded the front-end development methods for new product and service innovation. By taking holistic views on human activities via lifestyle research, user research, scenario-led innovation, interactive design, user-evaluation, and scenario-planning, the team delivered human-centered innovative product/service proposals.
To support Taiwan’s high tech industries to leverage innovations as their competitive edge, Grace Lin and DJ Yu founded Scenario Lab in July 2004 in Hsinchu’s Science Park, a.k.a. Taiwan’s Silicon Valley. Employing scenario-based methods for innovation, Scenario Lab began providing tech companies and research institutes with innovation-related services.
