Scenario Lab’s main capability is at providing scenario development as a platform for consensus building, initiating innovation, and envisioning the future within a client’s organization. Scenario Lab is keen at assembling scenario database through which our corporate clients can gain insight on users’ profiles. Scenario Lab engages the product/service development team in a corporate client to implement scenario-led innovation and to perceive user experience issues in a holistic viewpoint. We help the corporate client bring forth the value-added product/service propositions. Our process also could lead a client to reengineering of its internal innovation process consequently.

Scenario Acquisition

Scenario Lab takes pride in its capability in acquiring users’ activities. We construct the holistic view on users’ lifestyle by anthropological, psychological and sociological means. We probe into the underpinning in their thinking and observe the intents behind their behavioral details to achieve the goal of finding the latent user needs. In our user research, we inquire users’ daily activities and gather their positive and negative experience and their expectations for the future. Therefore, we can propose an intermediary that enables users to accomplish their tasks ecstatically. This intermediary can be defined by our corporate clients as a product, a service, a space, or simply an interface.

Scenario Innovation

When implementing the scenario method, we empathize in empathetically narrating a story in a user’s daily life. To narrate the story, we will depict a user’s silhouette, contextual traces, and interactions in activities. a user’s habitual behavior pattern can be identified and as a result be translated into valuable insights. We in a sense redefine a thing, an object, or an artefact through the storytelling process.
Upon conceiving a new project, Scenario Lab can tailor a custom-made process for its respective client. A team from the client’s organization can be steered in various workshops by our innovation tools such as innovation roadmaps, and innovation mockups to engage in constructive discussion. These workshops can be set up for product idea conception, service design innovation, strategic planning. The client’s team, large or small, consisting of R & D, design, or even the senior executives, can benefit from scenario-led forward thinking method.

Scenario-based Design

While an engineer mostly pursuit technology advancement to the extremes in speed, sizes, intelligence, etc., we at Scenario Lab focus on humanizing technology and enriching people’s life. The keys in successful scenario-based design are not found only in defining objects but furthermore in simulating the real-life situations to locate the convergent point where user needs meet technological offerings. Using scenario-based design method, we interpret the interaction between men, objects and contexts and ultimately outline products/interfaces/service patterns/ business models.

Innovation Process

The deliverables from the innovation process have been articulated as our concept database that can be retrieve on-demand by our corporate clients to expand their ideation capacity to cope with the ever-changing market demands. Many clients engage us into long-term commitment to assist them in providing innovation consulting services.

User experience innovation process (UXIP) is a process catering to our corporate clients, in which we devise the research on users’ activities, related to the client’s core product or service offerings. The deliverables are the innovation tool modules for the client to implement product and service innovations. These tools also provoke the client’s team to think innovatively. Users, R & D teams, planning teams, decision makers are all stakeholders in the participatory innovation process to let the idea flow and be implemented into execution and subsequently into user experience.

User Experience & Co-Creation Network (UXCCN) connects the user experience-driven innovation teams in Taipei, Shanghai, and Turin, providing the homegrown user experience, innovations conceived by cross-cultural design teams, and localized usability testing. Our user experience researchers can acquire hand-on cultural experience through the multi-disciplinary and multicultural co-creation process to propose universal value-added innovations.
